I recommend booking your hotel first and deciding on the events and types of food places you want to go. I would plan on $50 plus tax per event (SeaWorld Legoland,Wild Animal Park) just to get in in San Diego. Then the food you could go for fast food at $5 a meal or some nicer places by the ocean for about $25 a meal plus tax n tip. Then there are harbor cruises about $25. or you could just get on small boat ride to Coronado "island" for $6 round trip (or less?). Of course you would also want money for car and gas or travel. You my also want to get any rentals in advance. Not including Hotel and car or travel, I would plan on $100 a day for big event days and beach days etc about $50 a day. If you add your Hotel and Travel costs to that I would think you would be fine. I've lived here most of my life and know you can have a lot of fun for that amount. I wouldn't go on less since there are always a lot of "unexpected" little expenses that come up.

Depends. Are you staying at someone else's house, or are you going to a hotel? Also how long are you staying?

Bring lots of money and spend it all here.

Don't look at me that way, you know we depend on tourists' dollars. :-)
